A little bit of our history ....Mike Nelson started the ITD machine shop back in 1998 when he and his wife, Lola, bought out a Minnesota firm named Mirada Controls. Mike was a graduate of Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, SD. Following a 2-1/2 year Machine Tool course and graduating top in his class, he was employed by Mirada Research & Mfg., a Minnesota-based machine shop which at that time was located in Chaska, MN. After only 2 short years, Mike was placed in a management position with a new satellite facility for Mirada Research (named Mirada Controls, Inc.) in Henry, SD. The Nelsons bought out the business that Mike had managed and expanded it to Integrity Tool & Die’s current location at 2825 - 15th Avenue SE, Watertown, SD in 1999. In November 2016 Mike passed away from a massive heart attack. Lola has continued to keep ITD open. However due to Lola's stroke in 2018, ITD is now managed by 2 of the Nelson children; Jessica & Gwen . With the help of our amazing crew, we are still going strong.
